Autistic Burnouts

Never thought I’d be writing about burn outs. But over the past few weeks I’ve been experiencing burnouts, when I get drained. Where do I go when the lights go out when I get burn out?

How do I get them, how does it feel? Well let me explain, a burnout is when you’re physically exhausted, it can happen after a full days of work, when something gets too much for one or when something or someone changes plans last minute which makes myself uneasy and it makes me uneasy and I go quiet without telling anyone my feelings or experiences.

A lot of autistic people go through this phase & it’s part of our natural self as autistic people, loads of people go through it and it’s pretty rough if you ask Me. Everyone goes through burnout differently and experiences can differ from person to person and sometimes it can lead to sadness within that person.

A lot of emotions can affect one’s autistic state. But Tomorrowland has taught me about unity and how emotions can feel, thanks to the amazing quotes used before they announced the dj’s. One quote touched me was about sadness which was announced before John Summit’s set.

This quote relates to my autistic burnouts, cause “when I’m sad, it gives me the strength of a better tomorrow, when I’m sad and burn out, it is not a burden, it’s a teacher of life, it show us that tears can nourish the ground from which joy will one day rise”

I take these lessons from Tomorrowland’s quotes and take it in my life and in my stride to be the better version of myself, I want to show people that autistic people matters and be the most positive human being ever without being hard on myself & putting myself first & you should do too!
